The Honey Trees

I discovered The Honey Trees when i joined myspace a few years ago and was captivated by their sound. The group consists of Becky Filip, Jacob Wick, Jason Massey, and Aaron Coleman. their style of music is indie and has a somewhat classical touch. It is in one word beautiful.
Resently they are working on their first album entitled Wake the Earth, which sounds promising. One of my favorite songs that will be on the album is Orchard. Becky's voice is so timeless and i could easly listen to her singing for hours. The songs are catchy and the lyrics really refect the artists that make up the The Honey Trees. I believe this group will go far and be a huge success in the future. I'm excited to see what they do next, hopefully a tour around the country spreading their lovely sound!

Let It Snow

this is a book written by three very well-known authors (John Green Looking for Alaska & Paper Towns, Muareen Johnson Suite Scarlett & 13 Little Blue Envelopes, and Lauren Myracle TTYL & Rhymes With Witches). i really liked this book for many reasons. one of which is because its fun to read about unexpected things. for example in this book two stangers find themselves falling for one another after spending time with eachother during a snowstorm. i really liked also how in the last story (btw this book is really three different stories that takes place in the same town during the same snowstorm but they are about different people) all the other things that happened in the first two stories really came together in it and all the people ended up at the starbucks together at the end and some people like The Duke and Tobin had their inside joke at the end that none of the other characters got but we as the reader know why it was funny. Jubilee and Stuart had one two, i thought that the jokes where clever to have. all in all this was a great holiday read. it would also be a funny short film or movie. i would like that.

Britney Spears

well well well. she has had a very rocky year. she has had kids, shaved her hair, got divorced and just had an all around suck ass year. i really felt sorry for her because i remember when she was a rolemodel to me and so many other young girls in the '90s. i'm sure everyone was wondering "what happened Britney?" she never fell off the radar of the paparazzi but she did stop singing for a while. and now she is back. her new CD entitled Circus, sounds fun but we shall see. Her new song Womanizer isnt all that bad. its upbeat and a great dancing song. my friends and i have a lot of fun singing and acting crazy to this song. she has even won some MTV music awards this year. it sure was the year of Britney! hopefully she will continue on this comeback path and surprise all of us and be just as good, maybe even better than she was so many years ago.

Welcomage

welcome to my second blog called RE-WRITE. this is a blog all about movies, tv shows, books, and other things that interest me. i will be writing my opinions on the things i just listed. for example, if i read a book that i like a lot or dislike a lot then i will write it here. same goes for movies and tv shows. also i'll be writing some of my own stuff here. for example poems and short stories or ideas for books. this is mostly for me to reflect on.
